Mit der 2019 gegründeten Formation Front Row Warriors kommt eine „neue“ Band in die Metal Szene, die allerdings bereits im Jahr 2023 mit ihrem Debüt für einiges Aufsehen sorgte. Die aus Stuttgart stammende Band, bestehend aus fünf Herren und einer Dame sind in der Szene aber keine unbekannten. So vereint die Band Musiker, die sich ebenfalls in Bands wie, Samsara und Septagon, Ivanhoe und Them, Pump oder auch, Sharon verdingen und verdingt haben. Ein weiteres bemerkenswertes Merkmal ist aber wohl Frontfrau, Elkie Gee, die mit ihrer beeindruckenden Bandbreite und Stimmfarbe einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlässt. Stilistisch bewegt sich Front Row Warriors im Bereich des klassischen 80’er Metal mit einer verdammt coolen Mischung aus AOR und melodischem Metal der 90’er. So erwarten den gewillten Hörer treibende Riffs und Beats gepaart mit eben dieser bereist erwähnten eingängigen Stimme, die verdammt noch mal zum Headbangen und Luftgitarre-spielen einladen. Wer bei diesen Rhythmen ruhig sitzen bleibt, ist wohl nie wirklich in der Metal-Szene angekommen.
Gestern nun, am 11. Juli 2025 veröffentlichten die Stuttgarter mit neuem Gitarristen, Dominik Barth (ex-Illusoria), der 2024 den aus familiären Gründen zurückgetretenen Sorin Badin, der aber hinter den Kulissen im Studio an der Feinabstimmung der Songs weiter mitarbeitet und unter der Leitung, niemand Geringerem als Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Brainstorm u. a.) an den Reglern, ihr zweites Studioalbum. Der Name des guten Stückes, Running out of Time. Nachdem die Band nach einigen erfolgreichen Liveauftritten, unter anderem im Vorprogramm von Bands wie Treat, Vicious Rumors,
Riot V, Victory, Axxis und Shakra, auch auf der Bühne ihre Qualitäten unter Beweis stellen konnten, zog es sie abermals ins Studio. So präsentiert man nun also seit gestern elf neue Songs, die es allesamt in sich haben. Hier kann man ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken eine ganz klare Hör und Kaufempfehlung aussprechen und die volle Punktzahl für ein interessantes und klassisches Metal Album vergeben. Da darf man schon jetzt gespannt sein, wohin sich der Weg dieser „Neuerscheinung“ noch wenden wird. Wir sind schon jetzt überzeugt und wünschen Front Row Warriors auf ihrem Weg ganz viel Erfolg.

Founded in 2019, Front Row Warriors is a “new” band on the metal scene, but one that already caused quite a stir with their debut in 2023. The band, hailing from Stuttgart and consisting of five men and one woman, are no strangers to the scene. The band brings together musicians who have also played in bands such as Samsara and Septagon, Ivanhoe and Them, Pump, and Sharon. Another notable feature is frontwoman Elkie Gee, who leaves a lasting impression with her impressive range and tone of voice. Stylistically, Front Row Warriors moves in the realm of classic 80s metal with a damn cool mix of AOR and melodic metal from the 90s. The willing listener can expect driving riffs and beats paired with the aforementioned catchy voice, which invites you to headbang and play air guitar. Anyone who can sit still to these rhythms has probably never really arrived on the metal scene.
Yesterday, on July 11, 2025, the Stuttgart band released their second studio album with new guitarist Dominik Barth (ex-Illusoria), who replaced Sorin Badin in 2024 for family reasons, but who continues to work behind the scenes in the studio on fine-tuning the songs, and under the direction of none other than Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Brainstorm, etc.) at the controls. The name of the album is Running out of Time. After the band proved their qualities on stage with several successful live performances, including as the opening act for bands such as Treat, Vicious Rumors,
Riot V, Victory, Axxis, and Shakra, they were drawn back to the studio. So, as of yesterday, they are now presenting eleven new songs, all of which are impressive. Without hesitation, we can give this album a clear recommendation to listen to and buy, and award it full marks for being an interesting and classic metal album. We can already look forward to seeing where this “new release” will take them next. We are already convinced and wish Front Row Warriors every success on their journey.
