Mit ihren brachialen Hymnen irgendwo zwischen Dark Rock, Industrial und Metal haben sich Erdling seit Jahren als fester Bestandteil der deutschsprachigen Metallandschaft etabliert. Mit ihrem siebten Studioalbum schlagen Erdling nun ein neues, mächtiges Kapitel auf: „Mana“ ist ein musikalisches Ritual, ein klang-gewordener Beweis dafür, dass in jedem von uns eine uralte, formende Energie schlummert - roh, ungezähmt und bereit, entfesselt zu werden.
So die offizielle Stellungnahme des Labels.
Was den Fan und werten Hörer erwartet, ist aber dann doch so viel mehr. Roh, trifft es zwar schon ganz gut, aber man darf ruhig einen Schritt weiter gehen und sagen Roh, Roher, Erdling! Die Mystic der Band ist mit purer Gewalt zurück. Neue Deutsche Härte trifft wie bereits erwähnt nun bereits das siebte Mal auf Hard Rock und Heavy Metal. Herrlich verpackt in rohen Klängen, ausgefeilten Solis und Hymnen. Erdling musizieren. Erdling experimentieren. Und Erdling überraschen mit jedem Album aufs neue. Dieses „Prinzip“ setzt sich auch mit „Mana“ fort. So erhält der gewillte Hörer natürlich Altgewohntes, und doch auch einiges Neues. Natürlich bleiben Erdling sich treu. Es wäre auch Erschreckend wenn nicht. So jagt ein Nackenbrecher den anderen. Und erneut entführt uns die Band in die Welt der alten Mythen und Götter und projiziert die Themen in das Hier und Jetzt. Unverkennbar hierbei natürlich auch der unverwechselbare Gesang von Frontmann Neill. So reiht sich das neue Studiowerk dann auch Nahtlos in das bisherige Schaffen der Band ein und setzt den Maßstab für Kommendes noch einmal ein ganz weites Stück höher. Und kommen wird im Jahr 2026 dann die Tour zum Album, auf die man schon jetzt gespannt sein darf.
10 von 10 Punkten für 11 weitere fantastische Nummern. So darf es gern weiter gehen.

Die streng limitierte Holzbox macht den Geist von „Mana“ auf besondere Weise greifbar und enthält exklusive Sammlerstücke:

With their brutal anthems somewhere between dark rock, industrial, and metal, Erdling have established themselves as an integral part of the German-speaking metal scene for years. With their seventh studio album, Erdling are now opening a new, powerful chapter: “Mana” is a musical ritual, a sonic proof that an ancient, formative energy slumbers within each of us—raw, untamed, and ready to be unleashed.
So says the label's official statement.
But what awaits fans and listeners is so much more. Raw is a good description, but you can go a step further and say raw, rawer, Erdling! The band's mystique is back with pure force. As already mentioned, Neue Deutsche Härte meets hard rock and heavy metal for the seventh time. Wonderfully packaged in raw sounds, sophisticated solos, and anthems. Erdling make music. Erdling experiment. And Erdling surprise us anew with every album. This “principle” continues with “Mana.” The willing listener naturally gets the familiar, but also something new. Of course, Erdling remain true to themselves. It would be frightening if they didn't. One neckbreaker follows another. And once again, the band takes us into the world of ancient myths and gods and projects the themes into the here and now. Of course, the unmistakable vocals of frontman Neill are also unmistakable here. The new studio work fits seamlessly into the band's previous work and sets the bar for what's to come even higher. And in 2026, the album tour will follow, which we can already look forward to with excitement.
