Zwei Jahre nach erscheinen ihres letzten Albums, Hammer of Dawn, melden sich die Schweden in gewohnt eindrucksvoller Weise zurück und präsentieren sich mit, Avenge the Fallen, in bester Form zurück. Wie nicht anders zu erwarten, klingen Hammerfall auch im Jahr 2024 nach Hammerfall. Es wäre auch erschreckend wenn dem nicht so wäre. Dennoch ist dem Siegeszug der Formation nach wie vor keine Grenze gesetzt. So spielt man sich einfach nur fantastisch durch das neue Material und bringt mit den insgesamt zehn neuen Songs beste Hammerfall Party-Laune in jeder Bude. So muss Power-Metal sein, so macht Power-Metal einfach Spaß. Treibende Rhythmen, Messerscharfe Gitarren-Riffs, herausfordernde Bass und Drum Linien und der altbekannte unverwechselbar charmante Gesang eines Joacim Cans, machen auch das neuste Werk zu einem kleinen Geschenk an alle Hammerfall Fans und Liebhaber des klassischen Power-Metals. Die Herren können es einfach. Ob nun Hymnisch, Halsbrecherisch oder auch schon mal Gefühlvoll. Hammerfall haben von allem etwas im Gepäck und präsentieren sich von ihrer besten Seite. So kann man nur sagen, das, dass was die bereits im Vorfeld veröffentlichten drei Singles, versprachen, hält der Rest des Albums exzellent aufrecht. Was soll man auch zu einem Garant für guten Power-Metal, der seit nun mehr siebenundzwanzig Jahren im Geschäft ist noch großartig sagen? Das neue Material macht einfach verdammt viel Spaß und lässt die Vorfreude auf kommende Liveauftritte der Band schon fast ins Unermessliche steigen. Wir finden, auch, Avenge the Fallen hat bereits jetzt die volle Punktzahl von Zehn mehr als verdient und bekommt unsere Kaufempfehlung noch oben drauf. Two years after the release of their last album, Hammer of Dawn, the Swedes are back in their usual impressive fashion and are back in top form with Avenge the Fallen. As you would expect, Hammerfall still sound like Hammerfall in 2024. It would be frightening if this were not the case. Nevertheless, there is still no limit to the band's triumphal march. They simply play their way through the new material fantastically and bring the best Hammerfall party mood to every venue with a total of ten new songs. This is how power metal should be, this is how power metal is simply fun. Driving rhythms, razor-sharp guitar riffs, challenging bass and drum lines and the well-known, unmistakably charming vocals of Joacim Cans make the latest work a little gift to all Hammerfall fans and lovers of classic power metal. These guys just know how to do it. Whether hymnic, breakneck or even emotional. Hammerfall have a bit of everything in their luggage and present themselves from their best side. So one can only say that what the three singles released in advance promised, the rest of the album keeps up excellently. What else can you say about a guarantor of good power metal that has been in the business for more than twenty-seven years now? The new material is simply a hell of a lot of fun and makes us look forward to the band's upcoming live performances almost immeasurably. We also think that Avenge the Fallen has already more than earned the full score of ten and gets our purchase recommendation on top. We wish all fans and friends maximum listening pleasure.
