Was heißt hier eigentlich Sleaze Rock Formation? Also meine Herren, oder auch meine Damen, denn das trifft es im Fall von Cobra Spell wohl eher, was die fünf Damen hier abliefern ist feinster Metal Rock. Beginnend mit dem klassische Metal Intro, gefolgt von einem vor Sex and Rock’n Roll nur so sprühendem S.E.X bis hin zum dritten Song, der von seinem Instrumental an, bereits mein Herz als ollen Kiss Fan höher schlagen lässt, geht es auf weiteren neun Songs fröhlich weiter im besten Hard but Heavy Sound. Also von Sleaze ist hier nur entfernt die Rede. Und warum ich beim Instrumental zu Satans Woman Glanz in den Augen bekomme, wird spätestens beim ersten Hören klar. Wenn das keine direkte Anspielung an den Kiss Klassiker God of Thunder ist, was dann? Ansonsten kann man das gesamte Album als eingefleischter Metal Fan gar nicht oft genug Hoch und Runter hören und sich an diesem extrem klassischen Sound erfreuen. Waren, sind Bands wie Thundermother zwar ein gutes Aushängeschild für den weiblichen Teil der harten Rockmusik, so sind Cobra Spell mit Nichten genau das selbige. Hier wird gerockt und gezockt. Treibende Riffs und Beats laden zum Headbangen ein und der fantastische Gesang tut sein Übriges. Mädels, ihr habt es faustdick hinter den Ohren und man kann sich nur darauf freuen euch Live erleben zu dürfen. Von uns gibt es ein herzliches Willkommen in der Metal Garde und viel Erfolg, der euch mit diesem eurem Debüt gewiss sein dürfte. Bitte gern weiter so.
What does sleaze rock formation actually mean here? So gentlemen, or ladies, because in the case of Cobra Spell that's more true, what the five ladies deliver here is the finest metal rock. Starting with the classic metal intro, followed by a S.E.X that is brimming with sex and rock'n roll, up to the third song, which, as an old Kiss fan, already makes my heart beat faster from its instrumental onwards, there are another nine songs continue happily in the best hard but heavy sound. So sleaze is only remotely mentioned here. And why the instrumental to Satans Woman makes my eyes shine becomes clear the first time I listen to it. If that's not a direct reference to the Kiss classic God of Thunder, what is? Otherwise, as a die-hard metal fan, you can't listen to the entire album up and down often enough and enjoy this extremely classic sound. While bands like Thundermother are a good figurehead for the female part of hard rock music, Cobra Spell and Niece are exactly the same. This is where people rock and gamble. Driving riffs and beats invite you to headbang and the fantastic vocals do the rest. Girls, you've got it coming and we can only look forward to seeing you live. We give you a warm welcome to the Metal Guard and much success, which you can be sure of with your debut. Please keep it up.
