Das der Hardrock und Heavy Metal überall auf unserem Planeten vertreten ist, dürfte jedem bewusst und bekannt sein. Und doch entdeckt man immer wieder Bands und Künstler des Genres, wo man sich denkt, aha, wo kommen die her? So erging es mir als ich ODD Crew das erste Mal hörte. Hardrock Made in Bulgarien ist ja auch nicht so alltäglich. Wobei bei ODD Crew sollte man schon eine Ausnahme machen und die berühmte Lampe im Kopf sollte schon ein wenig flackern wenn nicht sogar brennen. 25 Jahre hat die Band nun auf dem Buckel. In dieser Zeit brachten sie es, zusammen mit den drei Studioalben unter ihrem ersten Namen, Kaskadiori, der erst 2006 in ODD Crew geändert wurde, als man beschloss fortan mehr den härteren Klängen zu folgen, auf insgesamt neun Alben. 2023 nun erscheint im Jubiläumsjahr das zehnte Album. Der Name, Dark Matters Part II verrät es bereits. Nachdem 2022 der erste Teil der Reise zur Dark Matters Saga für viel Aufsehen in der Metal Szene sorgte, folgt nun die Fortsetzung. Erneut taucht die ODD Crew ein in unerforschte Gebiete der Existenz, der Selbstbeobachtung und den Geheimnissen, die unter der Oberfläche der Realität Lauern. Erneut beweisen die Musiker ihre Klasse an den gespielten Instrumenten. Frontmann Vasko liefert dazu die nötige Stimmengewalt die ihn schon lange zum Aushängeschild der Band macht. So präsentieren ODD Crew acht neue Songs, im Bereich des Alternative Metals. Taucht ein in eine Welt der menschlichen Erfahrungen und kommt mit auf eine Reise tief hinab ins Dunkel, um dann Rückartig aufzusteigen in die Höhen des Lichts.
