Gegründet wurde Manntra im Jahr 2011, nachdem sich die Industrial-Metal-Band Omega Lithium getrennt und aufgelöst hatte. Marco Matijevic Sekul und Zoltan Lecei entschieden daraufhin mit, Manntra, neu durchzustarten. Die beiden Erstlingswerke, Horizont (2012) und Venera (2015) erschienen dann noch in ihrer kroatischen Landessprache. Für das dritte, ebenfalls in kroatisch eingespielte Album, Meridian, konnte die Band, die nun einen mehrfachen Besetzungswechsel erfahren hatte, niemand geringeren als Micha, das letzte Einhorn, Rhein von In Extremo, als Gastmusiker gewinnen. Spätestens mit der Veröffentlichung ihres ersten komplett in englischer Sprache 2019 erschienenen Album, Oyka! und zahlreichen Live-Auftritten beim In Extremo Festival, Wacken Open Air, den Metaldays oder auch dem Rockharz Open Air, waren die kroatischen Metal-Krieger nun auch international angekommen. Es folgten die Veröffentlichungen des fünften und sechsten Albums, Monster Mind Consuming (2021) und Kreatura (2022). Die Veröffentlichungen dieser beiden gefeierten Alben wurden nur durch die EP, Nightcall, und einer Tour im Gepäck von Tanzwut unterbrochen.
2023, nur ein Jahr nach ihrem Erfolgsalbum, Kreatura, treten Manntra bereits den nächsten Kampf an und präsentieren mit, War of Heathens, ihr siebtes Studioalbum. (Wir zählen einmal Endlich! (Live in Hamburg aus 2022-mal nicht mit). Erneut entführen uns Manntra in ihre fantastische Welt aus Legenden und Schlachten, die ganz Europa erschütterten. Alles wie gewohnt mächtig verpackt in Industrial-Metal und Folk. Für beste Unterhaltung sorgen die treibenden Riffs und Gesanges Passagen von Marco M. Sekul, der eindrucksvoll von einer weiblichen Stimme in dem einen oder anderen Song Unterstützung erhält. So schaffen es Manntra beinah spielend erneut ein Album zu präsentieren, welches die Hörerschaft in ihren Bann ziehen wird. Folgt den vier Kroaten in ein atmosphärisches Abenteuer zwischen der Adria und den Bergen ihrer Heimat. Manntra was founded in 2011 after the industrial metal band Omega lithium separated and dissolved. Marco Matijevic Sekul and Zoltan Lecei then decided to restart Manntra. The two first works, Horizont (2012) and Venera (2015) then appeared in their Croatian national language. For the third album, also in Croatian, Meridian, the band, who had now experienced a multiple cast change, could win none other than Micha, the last unicorn, Rhine of In Extremo, as a guest musician. At the latest with the release of her first completely in English 2019, Oyka! And numerous live performances at the In extremo Festival, Wacken Open Air, the Metaldays or the Rockharz Open Air, the Croatian Metal warriors had now also arrived internationally. This was followed by the publications of the fifth and sixth album, Monster Mind Consuming (2021) and Kreatura (2022). The publications of these two celebrated albums were only interrupted by the EP, Nightcall, and a tour in the luggage of Tanzwut.
In 2023, just a year after her successful album, Kreatura, Manntra already compete with the next fight and presented with, War of Heathens, her seventh studio album. (We finally count! (Live in Hamburg from 2022- times not with). Again, Manntra take us into their fantastic world of legends and battles that shake all of Europe. Everything as usual packed in industrial metal and folk for the best Entertainment ensures the driving riffs and singing passages by Marco M. Sekul, who impressively receives support from a female voice in one or the other song. This way manner manages to present an album again almost easily, which will captivate the audience. Follow the four Croatians in an atmospheric adventure between the Adriatic and the mountains of their homeland. We are once again given the full number of points and a very clear purchase recommendation for Manntra's, War of Heathens!
