Starmen sind eine im Jahr 2018 in Schweden gegründete Fun Hardrock und Heavy Metal Band. Von Beginn an hat man sich auf die Fahne geschrieben den Bands und Musikern der wilden 70er und 80er Jahre zu huldigen. Hierbei geht es aber nicht einfach nur um die Künstler der genannten Jahre, des Rock Business an sich, vielmehr geht es genau um die Musiker, die durch ein auffälliges Makeup für Aufsehen sorgten, und teilweise noch heute sorgen. Alles soll dabei unter dem Banner von Fun und Spaß stehen. Welch Zufall, das ausgerechnet der Frontmann und Sänger der Band rein von der Klangfarbe seiner Stimme, ähnlich eines Paul Stanley klingt. Ganz ehrlich, musste selbst ich als eingefleischter Kiss Fan hier und da mehrfach hinhören um mich davon zu überzeugen, das hier nicht tatsächlich Paul Stanley am Micro steht. Man weiß es ja nicht… Bei so vielen „Vorgaben“ für die Band und Musiker, dürfte es auch nicht verwundern, das die vier Musiker sich einen übergroßen Stern auf weißgeschminkte Gesichter mahlen, um so noch deutlicher auf ihre Idole hinzuweisen. Mit Starmenized steht nun seit heute das mittlerweile vierte Album der Band in den Verkaufsregalen…
Das Album "Starmenized" mit insgesamt 10 Songs von der schwedischen Band "Starmen" wird ihrem Genre als Classic/Glam Rockband vollstens gerecht. Durch knackige Riffs und den typisch melodisch, roten Faden, der sich quer durch das Album zieht, wirken alle Songs gerade nicht langweilig oder abgestumpft. Mit dem 1. Track "Liar" gibt es nämlich gleich voll auf die 12, denn hier werden bereits die ersten Akzente gesetzt und der Classic Rock Fan bekommt leuchtende Sterne in den Augen. Auch Track 2 und 3 rocken ebenfalls wirklich gut und machen einfach Spaß. Track 4 "I Die for you" ist sogar eine abwechslungsreiche, aber typisch classic rockige Ballade, die natürlich die bisher insgesamte und zuvor aufgebaute Geschwindigkeit herausnimmt. Vielleicht hätte man den Track weiter hinten positionieren können. Ob man das jetzt als positiv oder negativ erachtet, ist wohl, Meckern auf hohem Niveau und rein subjektive Geschmackssache. Die restlichen Songs sind alle Abwechslungsreich, obwohl sie auch stets ihrem Classic Rock Genre treu bleiben. Generell hat man das Gefühl immer Mitsingen/Mitklatschen zu wollen, denn die Lyrics und die Refrains laden durch öftere Wiederholungen dazu ein, die Mano cornuta oder zumindest die Rockerfaust in den Himmel zu strecken und einfach abzufeiern. Der Titeltrack des gleichnamigen Albums "Starmenized", welcher an 10. und damit letzter Position steht, vermittelt einen leichten Live Mitschnitt und lädt ebenfalls zum Mitgröhlen ein. Zum Abschluss lässt sich festhalten, dass das Album einfach alle Erwartungen eines Classic/GlamRock Fan erfüllt. Guter, melodischer Sound, rockige Beats, und einfach gute Laune.
Man bekommt das, was man erwartet: Spaß an Rockmusik!

Honestly, even I had to listen to me as a die -hard Kiss fan here and there to convince me that Paul Stanley is not actually on the micro here. You don't know ... With so many "guidelines" for the band and musicians, it should not be surprised that the four musicians grind an oversized star on white -made faces, all the more to point out their idols. With Starkenized, the band's fourth album has now been on the sales shelves ...
The album "Starmenized" with a total of 10 songs from the Swedish band "Starmen" fully lives up as a classic/glam rock band. With crunchy riffs and the typical melodic, red thread that runs across the album, all songs don't seem boring or dull. With the 1st track "Liar" there is a fully on the 12, because here the first accents are already set and the Classic Rock Fan gets bright stars in the eyes. Track 2 and 3 also rock really well and are just fun. Track 4 "I Die For You" is even a varied but typical classic rock ballad, which of course takes out the speed that has so far and previously built up. Maybe you could have positioned the track further back. Whether you consider this to be positive or negative is probably to complain at a high level and purely subjective taste. The remaining songs are all varied, although they always remain true to their Classic Rock Genre. In general, you always have the feeling of always singing along/clapping, because the lyrics and the chorus often invite repetitions to stretch the Mano Cornuta or at least the rocker fist to heaven and simply celebrate. The title track of the album of the same name "Starmenized", which stands in 10th and the last position, conveys a slight live recording and also invites you to grave. Finally, it can be said that the album simply meets all expectations of a classic/glamrock fan. Good, melodic sound, rocking beats, and just good mood. You get what you expect: fun of rock music! So, lets get Starmenized ...
