Im Jahr 2002 gründete sich in Deutschland, mit The Prophecy 23, eine neue Trash Metal Band, die bereits im Gründungsjahr ihr erstes Demo veröffentlicht. Selbiges, welches wie auch die 2008 erschienene erste EP noch als Eigenproductionen erschienen, sind heute nicht mehr erhältlich. Nachdem sich bereits ein Jahr nach der Gründung die beiden Gründungsmitglieder, Sven Piepenburg und Phileas Hohlweck, Guitar und Bass, die Band bereits wieder verlassen hatten, entschieden die verbleibenden Mitglieder den Style zu ändern und von nun an eine Mischung aus Trash und Death Metal zu zelebrieren. Sie nannten ihren eigens für sich selbst entdecken Sound von nun an, Fresh Metal. Besser kann man das was die Herren da fabrizieren gar nicht bezeichnen. Mit der Veröffentlichung der bereits erwähnten EP, Immortal Attitude, und einer Veröffentlichung auf der, Baden Metal Vol. 1 Kompilation ging es für die Band erst einmal hauptsächlich raus auf die Bühnen Deutschlands und dem näheren Umland. So spiele man unter anderem im Vorprogram von Bands wie, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Disbelief, Brainstorm, Fleshcrawl, Debauchery, Axxis, Death Before Dishonor, Dark Age und anderen. 2010 dann endlich unterzeichnete man seinen ersten Plattendeal beim Massacre Records Label, wo man bis heute ansässig ist. Es wurden fünf Alben produziert und veröffentlicht, bis man 2022 auf dem legendären Summer Breeze Festival einer seiner größten Live Auftritte feierte. Dieses Konzerthighlight für The Prophecy 23 gibt es nun aktuell auf CD, als Ltd Box Set und natürlich Digital zu erwerben. Nach mehr als 300 Club und Festival Shows war es erneut höchste Zeit, die Stimmung dieser Liveauftritte einmal dem breiten Publikum zu präsentieren. So kommt mit Live at Summer Breeze ein Live Album, welches sowohl Songs des letzten Studioalbums als auch ein kleines Best of der bisherigen musikalischen Geschichte der Band vereint. Es handelt sich bei der Formation zwar eher um einen Insider, aber der hat es wahrlich in sich und so kann selbst ich dieses Live Album nur wärmstens empfehlen. Vielleicht ist es der Startschuss in eine große Karriere der Band, aber ganz sicher wird es ein Ansporn für den einen oder anderen sich The Prophecy 23 dann auch einmal persönlich Live zu geben. Von uns gibt es an dieser Stelle ein ganz klares, Fresh Metal ab!!!!
In 2002 a new trash metal band, The Prophecy 23, was founded in Germany, which released their first demo in the year of its foundation. The same, which, like the first EP released in 2008, was still self-produced, is no longer available today. After just one year after the founding, the two founding members, Sven Piepenburg and Phileas Hohlweck, guitar and bass, left the band again, the remaining members decided to change the style and from now on celebrate a mixture of trash and death metal . From now on they called their self-discovered sound, Fresh Metal. There is no better way to describe what the gentlemen are fabricating. With the release of the already mentioned EP, Immortal Attitude, and a release on the Baden Metal Vol. 1 compilation, the band mainly went out on stages in Germany and the surrounding area. For example, you play in the opening act for bands like Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Disbelief, Brainstorm, Fleshcrawl, Debauchery, Axxis, Death Before Dishonor, Dark Age and others. In 2010 they finally signed their first record deal with the Massacre Records label, where they are still based today. Five albums were produced and released before one of his biggest live performances was celebrated at the legendary Summer Breeze Festival in 2022. This concert highlight for The Prophecy 23 is now available on CD, as a Ltd Box Set and of course digitally. After more than 300 club and festival shows, it was high time again to present the atmosphere of these Live performances to the general public. So Live at Summer Breeze is a live album that combines songs from the last studio album as well as a little best of the band's musical history to date. The formation is more of an insider, but it really packs a punch and so even I can only warmly recommend this live album. Maybe it's the start of a great career for the band, but it will definitely be an incentive for one or the other to give The Prophecy 23 a live performance in person. From us there is a very clear, Fresh Metal up!!!!
