In den Jahren von 1985 bis 1990 veröffentlichte die im Jahr 1984 in Schweinfurth gegründete Trash Metal Band , Vendetta, ganze fünf Alben, zählt man die zwei ersten Demos mit, und war seiner Zeit in ihrem Genre auch Erfolgreich. Dennoch entschloss man sich dazu 1990 einen Schl0strich zu ziehen und löste sich auf. Nach einem länger anhaltenden Rechtsstreit, gründete Bassist, Klaus „Heiner“ Ulrich, die Band im Jahr 2003, als einziges Urmitglied, neu und veröffentlichte ein weiteres Demo. 2007 konnte das in diesem Jahr veröffentlichte Album, Hate, soviel Schlagzeilen hervorbringen, das ein Vertrag mit dem Massacre Records Label dabei heraus kam. Dieser Vertrag brachte 2011 das nächste Studioalbum, welches sich in der Szene gut etablieren konnte. Während der weltweiten Pandemie schrieb man, und man glaubt es kaum, den man ist niemand geringerer als, der ehemalige Sänger/Gitarrist Achim "Daxx" Hömerlein und, Bassist, Klaus “Heiner” Ulrich, neue Songs. Die Texte dazu formte “Heiner” dann passender Weise mit Frontman und Sänger, Mario Vogel. Heraus kam ein neues Album, welches nach langer Zeit nicht nur ein neues Lebenszeichen der Band darstellt, sondern auch gleich eines der stärksten Alben werden könnte was die Herren je produziert haben. Elf brandneue Songs, die nur so vor Energie strotzen und sicherlich ein Muss für jeden Fan der Band und des Genres sein dürften. Bleibt zu hoffen, das Vendetta sich nun wieder Treu bleiben und ihren Weg etwas stetiger fortsetzen. Wir für unseren Fall sagen, mit Black as Coal, ist hier bereits der richtige Ansatz getan.
In the years from 1985 to 1990, the trash metal band Vendetta, founded in Schweinfurth in 1984, released a total of five albums, including the first two demos, and was also successful in its genre at the time. Nevertheless, the decision was made in 1990 to draw a line and disbanded. After a lengthy legal battle, bassist, Klaus "Heiner" Ulrich, re-formed the band in 2003 as the only original member and released another demo. In 2007, the album Hate, released that year, garnered enough headlines that it resulted in a deal with the Massacre Records label. This contract brought the next studio album in 2011, which was able to establish itself well in the scene. During the global pandemic, you won't believe it, because you're none other than former singer/guitarist Achim "Daxx" Hömerlein and, bassist, Klaus "Heiner" Ulrich, wrote new songs. “Heiner” then formed the lyrics to it with frontman and singer, Mario Vogel. The result was a new album, which after a long time not only represents a new sign of life for the band, but could also become one of the strongest albums the gentlemen have ever produced. Eleven brand new songs that are bursting with energy and should definitely be a must for any fan of the band and the genre. It remains to be hoped that Vendetta will remain true to itself again and continue on its way a little more steadily. In our case, we say, with Black as Coal, the right approach has already been taken.
