“All for Metal" heißt die Band und All for Metal ist das was man hier bekommt.
Diese grandiose Band feiert mit “Legends” ihr Debütalbum, nachdem sich die Band erst letztes Jahr gegründet hat.
Unter den Fittichen von AFM haben sie genau den richtigen Partner, um den wohlverdienten Push zu bekommen, um diese Band ganz an die Spitze des Metal-Olymps zu katapultieren.
Gegründet von den Sängern Tim “Tetzel” Schmidt von der Band Asenblut und von dem Sänger Antonio Calanna ehemals Devicious sowie dem Produzenten von Bands wie Beyond the Black und Kissin’ Dynamite (um nur ein paar zu nennen) Hardy Krech.
An den Instrumenten findet man eine genauso spannende Aufstellung.
An der Lead Gitarre haben wir keine andere als Jasmin Pabst bekannt von der Band “Oversense” und ihrem YouTube/FB Kanal “JJ’s one Girl Band” (Anm. des Verfassers: Ein absolutes Highlight für mich, da ich schon einige Jahre ein großer Fan von Jasmin bin und mir ihr Stil an der Gitarre sehr gut gefällt).
Ursula Zanichelli finden wir an der zweiten Gitarre von der Band “Hells Belles” eine erfolgreiche all female AC/DC Tribute Band.
Am Bass haben wir Florian Toma von “The Butcher Sisters” und an den Drums Mr Leif Jensen von der Band “Leyf”.
Wie man sieht, kann man hier von einer Superband reden und das hört man auf dem Album auch ganz deutlich.
“All for Metal” ist gleich der Opener der Scheibe und hier merkt man wo die Reise hingeht.
“IT IS ALL FOR METAL” sind die ersten Worte, die man hört, bevor man in einen nackenbrechenden, an Manowar’s “Warriors of the World” erinnernden Rhythmus gezogen wird und gar nicht anders kann, als die Hand zu heben und die berühmte Pommesgabel zu machen.
Die beiden Sänger teilen sich die Strophen und man merkt wie es zwischen Manowar und Avantasia hin und her springt, ohne jedoch wie eine Kopie zu klingen. Sehr grandios gemacht und es wird einfach nicht langweilig. Kann es noch besser kommen? Ja kann es, denn nun kommt der Refrain in Spiel und hier kann man sich schon genau vorstellen, wie in Wacken zig Tausend Metalheads diesen Refrain mitsingen. Jedes Mal, wenn man ihn hört, kommt die Gänsepelle zum Vorschein.
Nach dieser ersten Dampfwalze kann doch nicht mehr kommen!
Oh doch, und zwar hauen sie gleich mit “Goddess of War” eine vom Stil her sehr, für die 80er bekannte, Metalhymne hinterher. Auch hier gibt es jede Menge Mitsingpotenzial. Powermetal at it’s finest. Knackige Riffs, harte Drums und ein grandioses Gitarrensolo machen diese Nummer sehr rund.
“Born in Valhalla”, wer bis jetzt noch kein Schleudertrauma hat, wird spätestens hier auf seine Kosten kommen. Etwas langsamer an bpms, aber dafür sehr heavy und etwas an Sabaton erinnernd knallt diese Nummer gleich wieder ein Feuerwerk an Klang, Riffs und Drums einem so richtig um die Ohren.
Nun kommen wir zu der vierten Nummer “Raise your Hammer” eine mehr Folk-Metal Nummer, die aber auch wieder einen Refrain hat, der einem lange in den Ohren bleiben wird. Hier kann man auf jeden Fall, neben der Mähne auch das Tanzbein etwas mitschwingen. Dies wird ein Song, der Live sehr viel Spaß machen wird.
Könnt ihr das Schlagzeug hören? Bei “Hear the Drum” auf jeden Fall. Es beginnt mit Drums und Gesang, um dann auch wieder in harte Rhythmen und Chorgesang bis zu einem starken Refrain zu kommen. Hier wird nur der Gesang nur von “Tetzel” übernommen und er versetzt dem Song, mit seinem tiefen Gesang, den Donner, den er verdient. Man kann diesen großen Wikinger sprichwörtlich sehen, wie er in den Kampf zieht.
“Run run better run run better run” so geht es in dem nächsten Song los. Der Song trägt den Titel, wie sollte er auch sonst heißen “Run” und gibt auf der Scheibe wieder ganz schön Gas. Hier kommt wieder der Powermetal Stil à-la Avantasia ans Tageslicht und macht einfach nur grandiosen Spaß. Eine sehr melodiöse Nummer mit absolutem Hit-Potenzial. Auch hier werden die Fans ihre Fäuste zum Himmel heben und fleißig mitsingen können.
Nun gibt es eine kleine Verschnaufpause und man hat mit “Prophecy of Hope” eine kleine Storyeinlage bevor es dann wieder rasant einen Berg hochgeht, und zwar den “Mountain of Power”. Hier geht der Hörer auf eine Reise der Klänge und Riffs und Rhythmen und man kann diese Nummer tatsächlich ein absolutes Highlight (nebst vielen) des Albums nennen.
Noch drei weiter Nummern folgen auf dem Silberling. Mal sehen, was jetzt noch kommen kann?
“Fury of the Gods” erinnert mit seinem Gesang etwas an Sabaton, aber auch dies ist nur sehr kurz, weil es dann wieder in einen starken Refrain übergeht und man den vollen “Fury” dieser Band erlebt und sie so richtig auf die Tube drücken. Wieder eine Nummer, die man Live sehen möchte.
Brutal und heavy geht es dann mit “The Day of Hammerfall” weiter. Harter Gitarrensound und fette Rhythmen machen diesen Song zu einem meiner Favoriten. Ein Song, den die Band sich zu Eigen macht und dies auch sehr gekonnt. Man sieht die Feuerfontänen auf der Bühne und man kann die Hitze spüren und den Schweiß der Zuschauer riechen. Dies ist ein Song, der ein Konzert beenden kann und die Zuschauer glücklich nach Hause schickt.
Aber dies war nicht der letzte Song, es geht nun in die letzte Nummer “Legends never Die” und überraschenderweise handelt es sich hier um eine Ballade. Die Akustikgitarre am Anfang gibt einem gleich Gänsehaut und man schunkelt gewollt oder ungewollt automatisch mit.
Fazit:
Mit dem Album “Legends” von der Band “All for Metal” bekommt man genau das, was man erwartet. Ein grandioses, bombastisches, mit Hymnen beladenes Meisterwerk, das in keiner Sammlung fehlen darf.
Ein Muss für Jung und Alt!
Fans von Manowar, Sabaton, Hammerfall und Avantasia, um nur ein paar zu nennen, werden hier auf ihre Kosten kommen und es nicht bereuen.
Eines der besten Debütalben, die ich seit langem gehört habe. Auch jetzt, beim Schreiben dieser Rezension habe ich das Album mehrfach durchgehört und es macht beim fünften Mal noch genauso viel Spaß wie beim ersten Durchlauf.
Ein großes Danke an “All for Metal” und ich freue mich darauf, die Band hoffentlich schon bald mit diesem Album auf den Bühnen zu sehen.

This terrific band celebrates their debut album with “Legends” after the band was only formed last year.
Under the wings of AFM they have exactly the right partner to get the push they deserve to catapult this band to the very top of the Metal Olympus.
Formed by vocalists Tim "Tetzel" Schmidt of the band Asenblut and vocalist Antonio Calanna formerly of Devilish, as well as producer of bands like Beyond the Black and Kissin' Dynamite (to name a few) Hardy Krech.
The instruments are just as exciting.
On the lead guitar we have none other than Jasmin Pabst, known from the band "Oversense" and her YouTube/FB channel "JJ's one Girl Band" (Author's note: An absolute highlight for me, since I've been a big fan for several years from Jasmin and I really like her style on the guitar).
We find Ursula Zanichelli on the second guitar from the band “Hells Belles”, a successful all female AC/DC tribute band.
On bass we have Florian Toma from The Butcher Sisters and on drums Mr Leif Jensen from the band Leyf.
As you can see, you can talk about a super band here and you can hear that very clearly on the album.
“All for Metal” is the opener of the disc and here you can see where the journey is going.
“IT IS ALL FOR METAL” are the first words heard before you are pulled into a neck-breaking rhythm reminiscent of Manowar's “Warriors of the World” and can't help but raise your hand and shut the famous fries fork make.
The two singers share the verses and you can tell how it jumps back and forth between Manowar and Avantasia without sounding like a copy. It's very well done and never gets boring. Can it get any better? Yes it can, because now the refrain comes into play and here you can already imagine how tens of thousands of metalheads sing along to this refrain in Wacken. Every time you hear him, the goose skin comes out.
After this first steamroller there can be no more!
Oh yes, and with “Goddess of War” they follow it up with a style that is very well known for the 80s metal anthem. There's plenty of sing-along potential here, too. Power metal at it's finest. Crunchy riffs, hard drums and a terrific guitar solo round off this number.
“Born in Valhalla”, if you haven't had whiplash yet, you'll get your money's worth here at the latest. A bit slower in terms of bpms, but very heavy and somewhat reminiscent of Sabaton, this number immediately bangs a firework of sound, riffs and drums around your ears.
Now we come to the fourth number “Raise Your Hammer” a more Folk-Metal number, but it also has a chorus that will stick in your ears for a long time. In any case, in addition to the mane, you can also swing your dancing leg a bit here. This is going to be a song that will be a lot of fun performing live.
Can you hear the drums? Definitely with “Hear the Drum”. It starts with drums and vocals, then gets back into hard rhythms and choral singing up to a strong chorus. Here only the vocals are taken over by “Tetzel” and he gives the song the thunder it deserves with his deep vocals. You can literally see this great Viking going into battle.
“Run run better run run better run” is how the next song starts. The song bears the title, how else should it be called “Run” and really puts the pedal to the metal on the record. Here the power metal style à la Avantasia comes to light again and is just great fun. A very melodic number with absolute hit potential. Here, too, the fans will be able to raise their fists to the sky and sing along diligently.
Now there is a little breather and with “Prophecy of Hope” you have a small story interlude before it then quickly climbs up a mountain again, namely the “Mountain of Power”. Here the listener goes on a journey of sounds and riffs and rhythms and you can actually call this number one of the absolute highlights (among many) of the album.
Three more numbers follow on the disc. Let's see what can come next?
“Fury of the Gods” is somewhat reminiscent of Sabaton with its vocals, but this is also very brief because it then goes back into a strong chorus and you experience the full “Fury” of this band and really push them on the tube. Another number that you want to see live.
It then continues brutally and heavy with “The Day of Hammerfall”. Hard guitar sound and fat rhythms make this song one of my favorites. A song that the band makes their own and they do it very skillfully. You can see the fire fountains on the stage and you can feel the heat and smell the sweat of the audience. This is a song that can end a concert and send the audience home happy.
But this wasn't the last song, it goes into the last number “Legends never Die” and surprisingly this is a ballad. The acoustic guitar at the beginning gives you goosebumps and you automatically sway along, intentionally or unintentionally.
Conclusion:
With the album "Legends" by the band "All for Metal" you get exactly what you expect. A grandiose, bombastic, anthem-laden masterpiece that should not be missing in any collection.
A must for young and old!
Fans of Manowar, Sabaton, Hammerfall and Avantasia to name a few will get their money's worth here and won't regret it.
One of the best debut albums I've heard in a long time. Even now, while writing this review, I've listened through the album multiple times and it's just as enjoyable the fifth time as it was the first time.
A big thank you to “All for Metal” and I look forward to seeing the band on stages with this album hopefully soon.
