Mit ihrem neuen Album, Yay, betreten Motorpsycho? Ein neues Terrain. Waren die letzten Alben eher episch und sehr Kopfhörertauglich, so konzentrierte man sich bei Yay eher auf das Wesentliche. Man versuchte einfach davon weg zukommen, viel zu großen Vision und Architekturen in der Musik zu entkommen und schuf ein Album, welches zum Großteil mehr auf die Akustik aufbaut. So sind auch die meisten der zehn neuen Songs akustisch. Gleichzeitig wollte man sich aber auch einfach Ausprobieren, ohne sich selbst und das Rad neu zu erfinden. Nun sind und bleiben Motorpsycho? aber eine Formation, die noch nie im Kleinen gearbeitet haben. Schon immer musste es Groß und Größer sein. Und so kommt auch Yay, als etwas Großes und vor allem Anderes daher. Man präsentiert sich mit viel Gefühl und Einfühlungsvermögen und schaft so eine ganz eigene Atmosphäre. Eben irgendwie Motorpsychodelisch. Wenn es so etwas überhaupt gibt, dann hier auf Yay. Wer in diesen unseren ach so hektischen Tagen und Zeiten einmal etwas Entspannung sucht, wird selbige hier mit Sicherheit finden. Motorpsycho? bleiben sich trotz der neuen Herangehensweise für dieses Album treu und so wird der Fan auch hier mit Sicherheit fündig werden und auf seine Kosten kommen. Von uns gibt es jedenfalls eine positive Bewertung für Yay und eine Kaufempfehlung für alle Fans der psychodelischen Klänge.
Enter Motorpsycho with their new album, Yay? A new terrain. While the last albums were more epic and very suitable for headphones, Yay focused more on the essentials. They just tried to get away from escaping far too big vision and architectures in the music and created an album that for the most part builds more on the acoustics. So most of the ten new songs are acoustic. At the same time, people wanted to just try things out without reinventing themselves and the wheel. Now are and will remain Motorpsycho? but a formation that have never worked on a small scale. It always had to be big and bigger. And that's how Yay comes along, as something big and, above all, different. You present yourself with a lot of feeling and empathy and create a very unique atmosphere. Kind of motor psychedelic. If there is such a thing, it's here on Yay. If you are looking for some relaxation in our oh so hectic days and times, you will definitely find it here. motor psycho? remain true to themselves despite the new approach for this album and so the fan will definitely find something here and get their money's worth. In any case, we give Yay a positive rating and a purchase recommendation for all fans of psychedelic sounds.
