Zwischen bezaubernder Zärtlichkeit und Brutalität, zwischen den Feuern des Unteren und
die kältesten Dämpfe des Nordens, das ist das Wesen namens WINTERHORDE. Besser hätten wir es auch nicht beschreiben können. Gegründet im Jahr 2002 in Israel, schickten sich Winterhorde sofort an, etwas größeres in der extremen Progessive Metal Szene zu werden. So gilt für die Formation seit jeher, die Aussage, nur der Himmel ist die Grenze. Und so spielte man bereits auf Festivals wie „Metal Days“, „Rockstadt Extreme Fest“, „OST Mountain Fest“, „Metalhead Meeting“, „Maximum Rock“ und „Metal Yard“ mit einige der größten Bands im Metal wie JUDAS PRIEST, BEHEMOTH, ACCEPT, W.A.S.P, DIMMU BORGIR, KEEP OF KALESSIN, AMORPHIS, SATYRICON. Wenn das dann kein Aushängeschild für eine etwas andere Band darstellt, was dann? Seit ihrem Debüt, Nebula, aus dem Jahr 2006, brachten es Winterhorde bisher auf drei Alben. Nun im Jahr 2023 folgt der Nachfolger und somit das vierte Werk. Zwar gab es nach dem 2016 erschienenen, Maestro, einen massiven Besetzungswechsel, doch präsentieren sich die Herren wie es scheint, genau aus diesem Grund gestärkt mit dem neuen Material, bestehend aus zehn echten Genickbrechern. Wer es also etwas härter und dennoch mit viel Einfühlungsvermögen und Abwechslungsreichtum zu tun haben möchte, dem sein das neue Werk der Winterhorde wärmstens empfohlen.
Between enchanting tenderness and brutality, between the fires of the lower and
the coldest vapors of the north, that is the being called WINTER HORDE. We couldn't have described it better. Formed in Israel in 2002, Winterhorde immediately set out to become something bigger in the extreme progressive metal scene. The statement that the sky is the limit has always been true for the formation. And so they have already played at festivals like “Metal Days”, “Rockstadt Extreme Fest”, “OST Mountain Fest”, “Metalhead Meeting”, “Maximum Rock” and “Metal Yard” with some of the biggest bands in metal like JUDAS PRIEST, BEHEMOTH, ACCEPT, W.A.S.P, DIMMU BORGIR, KEEP OF KALESSIN, AMORPHIS, SATYRICON. If that doesn't represent a flagship for a slightly different band, then what does? Since their debut, Nebula, from 2006, Winterhorde have released three albums. Now the successor and thus the fourth work will follow in 2023. Although there was a massive line-up change after Maestro, which was released in 2016, it seems that for this very reason the men are strengthened with the new material, consisting of ten real neckbreakers. So if you want something a little harder but still have a lot of empathy and variety, the new work by the Winter Horde is highly recommended.
