Die Britische Progressive Metal Band, Sky Empire, veröffentlichte bereits im Jahr 2018 ihr Debüt, und konnte damit die erste Aufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen. So sorgte, The Dark Tower, in der Szene bereits kurz nach seinem Erscheinen für einigen Wirbel. Der tragische Tod des Frontman und Sängers, Yordan Ivanov, unterbrach aber kurzzeitig das weitere Bestehen der Formation. Nun gesellt sich kein geringerer als, Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwe J. Malmsteen, Talisman, Reise), zur Formation hinzu und komplettiert das Ganze. Nun steht seit Freitag das zweite Werk in den Regalen. Erneut mischt die Band Progressive Rock/Metal mit Klassischen Einflüssen und exzellenter Gitarrenarbeit. Jeff Scott Soto bringt sich dazu passend bestens als Sänger in die Band ein. So entstand ein fantastisch klingendes Album, welches vor Abwechslungsreichtum nur so sprüht. So werden Freunde und Fans des Progressive Metals der Jahre 70 – 90 bestens unterhalten werden und auch die sicherlich vielen weiteren Hörer auf ihre Kosten kommen. Nach wie vor merkt man die Beeinflussung der Musiker und Mitglieder von Sky Empire durch Größen wie, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Yes, Rush and Journey. Aber auch die Liebe zu, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Dream Theater and Symphony X , ist deutlich spürbar. So wird, “The Shifting Tectonic Plates of Power – Part One”, zu einer experimentellen, musikalischen Reise, die den Hörer mit auf einen Ausflug in unbekannte Sphären nimmt und für die gesamte Spieldauer gefesselt hält. Anhören lohnt sich hier zu Einhundert Prozent. Wir wünschen schon jetzt viel Vergnügen bei sieben weiteren Songs der Formation, Sky Empire…
The British Progressive Metal Band, Sky Empire, published its debut in 2018, and was able to attract attention. The Dark Tower, in the scene, caused some vertebrae in the scene shortly after appearing. The tragic death of the frontman and singer, Yordan Ivanov, briefly interrupted the further existence of the formation. Now none other than, Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwe J. Malmsteen, Talisman, Reise), added to the formation and completes the whole. The second work has been on the shelves since Friday. Again the band mixes progressive rock/metal with classic influences and excellent guitar work. Jeff Scott Soto brings himself into the band as a singer. This creates a fantastic sounding album, which is just spraying with variety. Friends and fans of the progressive metal from 70 - 90 will be entertained and the certainly many other listeners will get their money's worth. You can still see the influence of musicians and members of Sky Empire by sizes such as, deep purple, rainbow, yes, rush and journey. But the love for, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Dream Theater and Symphony X, is also clearly noticeable. For example, “The Shifting Tectonic Plates of Power - Part One”, an experimental, musical journey that takes the listener on a trip to unknown spheres and keeps tied up for the entire play. Listening to one hundred percent here. We already wish you a lot of fun with seven other songs from the formation, Sky Empire ...
