Wer nun sagt, Melodic und Doom Metal passen nicht zusammen oder seien gar wie Feuer und Wasser, der hat die 2012 gegründete Formation, Kaunis Kuolematon, wohl noch nicht kennengelernt. So schwer ihr Name auszuspreche ist, genau so schwer scheint es den Style dieser etwas anderen Band zu beschreiben. So treffen sachte, melodische Klänge auf exzessive Härte. Dies trifft sowohl zu wenn es um die Instrumentalisierung ihrer Musik geht, aber auch auf den Gesang. So röhrt Olli Suvanto seine brachialen Growls dem Hörer entgegen, währen sich Mikko Heikkilä, neben den spielen der Gitarre, gesanglich mal zwischen Hexengesang und dann wieder beinah klassischen Klängen bewegt. Dies gepaart mit einer genauso wechselnden Instrumentalen Haltung von Gitarre, Bass, Drum, Keyboard und Klavier ergibt diesen eigenen Style der Band, der von Beginn an ihr Markenzeichen setzte. Genau dieser Style und diese Mischung sind es dann auch die sowohl Fans als auch Kritiker auf die Band aufmerksam werden ließen. Mit bisher drei veröffentlichten Studioalben, einer EP und mehreren Singles schafften sie es sich ihren angestandenen Platz in der Szene zu sichern. So spielte man bereits unzählige Live Konzerte im Vorprogramm Namenhafter Musiker-Kollegen und in der finnischen Heimat. Nun ist man bereit mit neuem Album die große Weite der Welt zu erobern und bringt mit Mielenvalta das lang erwartete neue Werk auf den Markt. Neun neue Songs im genau wie gerade beschriebenen Sound entführen den gewillten Hörer in eine Welt von klanglicher Schönheit und Brutalität, die ihres Gleichen sucht. Wir sind auf jeden Fall von gehörtem überzeugt und sprechen hiermit unsere Empfehlung aus, die sich nur an Fans der ganzen Härte, sondern auch derer des melodischen Klanges bezieht. It is precisely this style and this mixture that made both fans and critics aware of the band. With three published studio albums, an EP and several singles, they managed to secure their place in the scene. So you already played countless live concerts in the preliminary program of well-known musician colleagues and in the Finnish homeland. Now you are ready to conquer the large vastness of the world with a new album and bring the long -awaited new work onto the market with Mielenvalta. Nine new songs in the sound just described, kidnap the willing listener into a world of tonal beauty and brutality that is looking for its same.
