Seit der Gründung, in den frühen 1990er Jahren, der in Schweden ansässigen Rock Band, Diamond Dogs, ist verdammt viel passiert. Man absolvierte unzählige Konzerte. Veröffentlichte bisher vierzehn Alben und heimste unzählige Auszeichnungen ein. Man kann also ohne große Worte von einer der erfolgreichsten Formationen im Rock‘ n Roll der letzten Jahre sprechen. Der Name Diamond Dogs, ist zwar genauso berühmt wie die Band, die sich 2023 anschickt ihr nächstes werk auf Reisen zu schicken, war Diamond Dogs, doch der Titel eines der erfolgreichsten Alben von niemand geringeren als David Bowie himself. Doch heute wollen wir uns mit der Band und nicht dem Album beschäftigen. About the hardest Nut to crack, wurde im Frühjahr 2023 eingespielt und ist nun als Vinyl erhältlich. Das Album enthält zwölf klassische Rock-Nummern, die wie alles von Diamond Dogs beeinflusst wird und wurde, was den Rock und Blues der siebziger Jahre ausmachte und heute noch genauso frisch klingt wie damals. Es macht einfach verdammt viel Spaß dieser durch und durch sympathischen Formation zu lauschen. Die Partystimmung setzt von ganz allein ein und sorgt für beste Laune. Wer bei diesem Sound still sitzen bleibt, sollte sich untersuchen lassen um festzustellen, wieviel Leben noch in im steckt. About the hardest Nut to crack ist ein Album für jeden Freund von guter klassischer Rockmusik und sollte schon allein deshalb in keiner gut sortierten Sammlung fehlen. Since its foundation, in the early 1990s, the rock band, Diamond Dogs, based in Sweden, has happened damn. Countless concerts were completed.
