Die Gründung der Band, Repentance, erfolgte im Jahr 2018 durch Gitarrist Shaun Glass, in Chicago. Bereits nach der Veröffentlichung der ersten zwei Demos, war klar, da kommt etwas wirklich gewaltiges auf die Hörerschaft zu. Und diese Vorahnung sollte sich schnell bewahrheiten. Und zwar in Form des Debüts, God for a Day. Durch ihre zahlreichen Auftritte unter anderem im Vorprogram von Bands wie, Trivium, Devildriver, Jinjer, Skull Fist, Toxic Holocaust oder Sacred Reich, festigte die Formation ihren Stand in der Szene. Spätestens mit der Unterzeichnung beim Noble Demon Label und der Veröffentlichung der EP, I Reborn, stand fest, das wird lange nicht das Ende sein. Nun im Jahr 2023 melden sich Repentance mit voller Wucht und brandneuem Album, The Process Of Human Demise, Zurück. Zwölf hammerharte Songs, die unter anderem durch Corey Beaulieu (Fear Factory, Trivium) und Fear Factory's Milo unterstützt, werden dem gewillten Fan und Hörer präsentiert. Wobei Präsentiert hier wohl ehr nicht den Kern der Sache trifft. Denn Repentance hauen einem ihre Songs regelrecht um die Ohren, beziehungsweise schmettern sie einem selbige direkt ins Gesicht. Ich habe lange nicht mehr eine solche Soundwand erleben dürfen. Schnell werden Erinnerungen an die ganz großen Bay Area Bands wach. Wer also auf diesen Sound steht, der bekommt hier genau das was er oder sie will. Brettharte, messerscharfe Songs die vor knallharten Riffs nur so strotzen. Das Ganze wird durch einen wirklich markanten Gesang verfeinert und so in ein einzigartiges Format gegossen. Also Freunde und Fans der wirklich harten Riffs, zugreifen, anschnallen und feiern. Mehr gibt es hierzu wirklich nicht zu sagen.

The whole thing is refined by a really distinctive vocals and poured into a unique format. So friends and fans of the really hard riffs, access, buckle up and celebrate.
