Ein Mann wie ein musikalisches Geschichtsbuch. Seine Karriere begann bereits in den 60’er Jahren, wo er bereits mit seiner nach seinem Charakter benannten Band seine Umwelt mit Schock-Rock Musik schockierte. Das Makeup und die wilde Musik waren zu dieser Zeit dem einen oder anderem gar ein Dorn im Auge. Gerade aber seine Show und das gerade erwähnte Makeup inspirierte viel im folgende Musiker, unter ihnen zum Beispiel auch Kiss. Der forderte zum Schulschluss auf, wurde in der Hölle willkommen geheißen, sang über Billion Doller Babys, Entzugskliniken und Massenmörder. Letzteres nicht zuletzt im sechsten Teil einer berühmten Horror Serie. Auf der Bühne mordet er sich seit Jahrzehnte stehts durch seine ausgeklügelte Show, in der er stets für seine Taten bezahlen muss und hingerichtet wird, bevor er schlussendlich noch grausamer zurückkehrt. Im wahren Leben ist er ein umgänglich Mann und Familienvater, der so ziemlich alles erlebt hat was das Leben und das Showbusiness hergeben. Er lebte auch den Rockstyle, doch ist er bis heute nicht tot zu kriegen. Was auch gut so ist. Denn wäre es anders, könnte diese Legende in unseren Tagen nicht mehr die Bühnen erschüttern lassen. Ob nun mit seiner Band oder mit weiteren Musiker/Filmkollegen in einer weiteren gegründeten Formation. Die Rede ist natürlich von Vincent Demon Furnier, besser gekannt als Alice Cooper. Nun steht das neue Studio Album des Meisters in den Regalen. Und hierbei handelt es sich tatsächlich um das, man glaubt es kaum neunundzwanzigste Studio Alben unter dem Namen Alice Cooper. Der Wahnsinn kennt kein Ende und Alice Cooper klingt nach wie vor wie Alice Cooper. Was der man und seine Mitmusiker da abliefern ist kaum zu beschreiben. Mal Heavy, mal Hart, dann wieder Groovig, stets aber mit der genügenden Menge an Rock und Power. Road, so der Name des neuen Werks, ist 100 Prozent das was man von einem Alice Cooper in den 2020er Jahren erwartet. Sorry Alice, verrätst du dein Geheimnis bitte nach so vielen Jahrzehnten im Geschäft noch so frisch zu sein um ein solches Werk zu veröffentlichen? 13 brandneue Songs die über das Leben on the Road berichten. Musikalisch schon wieder beinah perfekt. Gesanglich glaube ich nicht mehr zu toppen. Und fast Perfekt nur deshalb weil mir ein mir sehr wichtiger Mensch einmal klar machte, das nichts auf der Welt Perfekt ist, sonst gäbe es keine Steigerung mehr. (Recht hat er der Nathaniel Simon Laval). Wie auch immer, wer noch einmal den echten Alice Cooper erleben möchte, der hat mit Road jetzt die beste Gelegenheit und später dann noch auf den kommenden Live Auftritten des Herren und seiner Band. Nutzt die Chance und gebt euch diesem Wahnsinn hin.
Auf das dreißigste Album bin ich gespannt. Aber jetzt genieße ich vorerst Road in vollen Zügen… Lets Rock !!!!
A man like a musical history book. His career began in the 1960s, where he shocked those around him with shock rock music in his band, which was named after his character. The make-up and the wild music were even a thorn in one or the other's side at the time. But it was his show and the aforementioned makeup that inspired a lot of subsequent musicians, including Kiss. He called for the end of school, was welcomed into hell, sang about trillion dollar babies, rehab and mass murderers. The latter not least in the sixth part of a famous horror series. For decades he has been murdering himself on stage with his sophisticated show, in which he always has to pay for his actions and is executed before he finally returns even more cruel. In real life he is an affable man and father of a family who has experienced pretty much everything that life and show business have to offer. He also lived the rock style, but you can't kill him to this day. Which is a good thing. Because if it were otherwise, this legend could no longer shake the stages in our days. Whether with his band or with other musicians/film colleagues in another established formation. We're talking, of course, about Vincent Demon Furnier, better known as Alice Cooper. Now the master's new studio album is on the shelves. And this is actually the, believe it or not, twenty-ninth studio album under the Alice Cooper moniker. The madness knows no end and Alice Cooper still sounds like Alice Cooper. What the man and his fellow musicians deliver is hard to describe. Sometimes heavy, sometimes hard, then groovy again, but always with enough rock and power. Road, as the new work is called, is 100 percent what you would expect from an Alice Cooper in the 2020s. Sorry Alice, would you please share your secret of being fresh enough to publish a work like this after so many decades in the business? 13 brand new songs that tell about life on the road. Musically almost perfect again. Vocally, I don't think I can top it anymore. And almost perfect only because a very important person once made it clear to me that nothing in the world is perfect, otherwise there would be no more improvement. (Nathaniel Simon Laval is right). Anyway, if you want to experience the real Alice Cooper again, you have the best opportunity with Road now and later at the upcoming live performances of the gentleman and his band. Take the chance and indulge in this madness. I'm looking forward to the thirtieth album. But for now I'm enjoying Road to the fullest... Lets Rock!!!!
