Die Welt zu verbessern und das Leben auf selbiger angenehmer zu gestalten, sich gegen Regel zu stellen, das war und ist seit jeher das Ziel der Punk-Bewegung. So natürlich auch bezeichnend für eine der ältesten deutschen Bands dieser Szene unter der Führung des Gründers Sir Hannes Schmidt, The Idiots. Bereits seit 1978 verschafft sich die Formation musikalisch Luft und verbreitet ihre Message. So brachte man es über die Jahre auf bisher neun Studiowerke, vier EPs und massig Kompilation/Samplerbeiträge. Nach dem im Jahr 2019 veröffentlichten, Schweineköter, folgt nun im Jahr 2023 der nächste Schlag. Mit König der Idioten, wollen es die Idiots noch einmal richtig wissen und lassen es gewaltig krachen. So kann man mit voller Überzeugung behaupten, das König der Idioten sowohl musikalisch als auch textlich das wohl extremste Album ist, welches die Formation je veröffentlicht hat. Insgesamt zwölf wahre Punk-Brecher hauen uns die Herren so förmlich um die Ohren und gönnen dem gewillten Hörer dabei keine Verschnaufpause.
"THE IDIOTS sind Freidenker und die letzten 2 1/2 Jahre mit dieser verfickten Pandemie und den unsinnigen, menschenverachtenden Kriegen sowie Diktaturen haben ein wahnsinniges Wutpotential in uns aufkochen lassen. Wir fressen und konsumieren nicht alles, was uns aufgetischt und vorgeschrieben wird. Genauso wenig schlucken wir alles herunter oder gehören zu den Bauern im neuen wiederkehrenden Mittelalter. Wir lassen uns nicht mit "Brot und Spielen" (Fußball & Großereignissen) von Korruption, Völkermord, Überwachungsstaat Cyberkrieg und Staatsgewalt ablenken oder manipulieren.
Wir stehen und kämpfen für Respekt, Vielfalt, Menschenrechte, Natur- und Tierschutz!
Auch setzen wir uns gegen Unterdrückung und jede Art von Diktaturen und für Minderheiten ein." - THE IDIOTS
Diese wohl bereits alles sagende An/Aussage der Band gibt am besten so wohl den Inhalt der Texte als auch die Motivation zum entstehen des neuen Materials wieder. Bleibt abschließend nur noch zu erwähnen, das sich The Idiots wohl, und das ist auch gut so, nie ändern werden. Dies betrifft sowohl ihre Musik als auch ihre Einsatzwilligkeit für alles und alle die wirklich Hilfe benötigen. Na dann, Album gekauft, The Idiots unterstützt und dann das neue Werk Laut und Kräftig abfeiern. Wir wünschen beste Unterhaltung.
Improving the world and making life more pleasant, going against the rules has always been the goal of the punk movement. So, of course, characteristic of one of the oldest German bands in this scene under the leadership of founder Sir Hannes Schmidt, The Idiots. The formation has been creating musical air and spreading its message since 1978. So over the years they have come up with nine studio works, four EPs and a lot of compilations/samplers. After the Schweineköter published in 2019, the next hit will follow in 2023. With King of the Idiots, the idiots want to know the truth one more time and let it rip. So you can say with full conviction that King of the Idiots is probably the most extreme album the formation has ever released, both musically and lyrically. A total of twelve true punk breakers, the gentlemen literally hit us in the face and don't give the willing listener a break. "THE IDIOTS are free thinkers and the last 2 1/2 years with this fucking pandemic and the nonsensical, inhuman wars and dictatorships have caused an insane potential for anger to boil up in us. We don't eat and consume everything that is served and prescribed to us. Just as little do we swallow everything or belong to the peasants in the new recurring Middle Ages We do not allow ourselves to be distracted or manipulated with "bread and circuses" (football & major events) from corruption, genocide, surveillance state cyber war and state violence. We stand and fight for respect, diversity, human rights, nature and animal protection! We also stand up against oppression and any kind of dictatorship and for minorities." - THE IDIOTS This statement by the band, which probably already says it all, best describes the content of the lyrics as well as the motivation for the creation of the new material. It only remains to mention that The Idiots will probably never change, and that's a good thing. This applies to their music as well as their commitment to everything and everyone who really needs help. Well then, bought the album, supported The Idiots and then celebrate the new work Loud and Strong. We wish you the best entertainment.
