Rezension by Fenria

Nummer 4! Mir persönlich erst seit Ihrem Label Wechsel zu Out of Line Music bekannt. Zum aktuellen Album sagt Frontman „The Cantor“ nur „Fuck you Devil, I bring the Light“. Halleluja!

Number 4! What is meant here is the fifth album by industrial electro "Rocker" by Rave the Requiem from Sweden. I have only known personally since you switched to Out of Line Music. But the debut on the label named "Funeral" and the band's subsequent live appearance at the Out of Line Weekender 2019 were more than convincing. And so I was happy to find out that the successor would appear with Stigmata Itch. Now I have had it for a while and I have to say that my expectations have been more than fulfilled and the wait was worth it. What defines this formation is the stylistic diversity. Industrial rock, electro and symphonic arrangements mix to create a unique thunderstorm of sound which is refined by the clear vocals of newcomer Sister Superior. Front man “The Cantor” only says “Fuck you Devil, I bring the Light” about the current album. And what statement is better than this in a time like the one we all live in, to shed a little light on the darkness of a world of virus, restrictions, suffering and death. As far as the material of the new album is concerned, Rave the Requiem continues undeterred on the path it has chosen and fires one musical salvo after the other at its dear audience. Modern metal meets electro beats is the watchword. And so “The Cantor” shouted again with the siren “Sister Superior” and kidnapped the listener into a world of modern sounds and driving rhythms. A must for every fan of the band and for those who still want to become a fan. Halleluiah!
